NailsByE collects the minimum information needed to make your nails and get them to you. No accounts, no ad trackers, no selling data. Here's exactly what happens with your information.
What we collect and why
- Order details — your name, email, shipping address, and optionally phone or Instagram handle. Used to make your set, email you order updates, and ship your order. Nothing else.
- Photos you upload — sizing photos of your hands and any inspiration pictures. Used only to size and design your set. They are stored privately with your order and are not published.
- Reviews— if you choose to leave one through your personal review link, the name, rating, text, and optional photo you submit are shown publicly on the reviews page after approval. Share only what you're comfortable making public.
What we don't do
- No selling, renting, or sharing your information with marketers.
- No advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
- No payment data — payments happen inside Venmo or Zelle. NailsByE never sees or stores card or bank numbers.
Kids and parents
Many NailsByE customers are minors ordering with a parent's help — that's welcome, and the site is built for it: there are no accounts and no marketing lists. Orders for anyone under 18 should be placed or supervised by a parent or guardian, using the parent's email where possible. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without a parent involved; if you believe a child submitted information without permission, email nailsbye.17@gmail.com and it will be deleted promptly.
Where your data lives
Order information is stored in a secure hosted database (Neon), uploaded images in secure cloud storage (Vercel Blob), and the site runs on Vercel. Emails are sent through Gmail. Each provider only processes your data to run this service.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept so Elin can help with resizes, remakes, and repeat orders. You can ask for your order data — including photos — to be deleted at any time, and it will be removed within 30 days unless a law requires keeping it.
Your choices
- Ask what data is stored about you.
- Ask for corrections or deletion.
- Skip optional fields (phone, Instagram, review photos) entirely.
